Proton is now accepting bookings for the freshly unveiled 2026 Proton X50 Sport Edition with 15 cosmetic enhancements to celebrate the X50’s 6th anniversary in Malaysia.
Prices are not announced yet, but it will be based on the X50 Flagship variant which retails at RM113,300.
New exterior items include:
- Black Front Upper Garnish
- Black Front Side Port Trim Garnish
- Black Lower Bumper Garnish
- Black Rear Side Port Trim Garnish
- Black 18-inch Alloy Wheels (same design)
- Front skirting
- Side skirting
- Rear skirting
- Sport Edition emblem
While on the interior:
- Red stitching for upholstery
- Sport Edition seat embroidery
- Sport Edition side step garnish
- TPE floor mats with Sport Edition top layer carpet
No performance enhancements were made to the X50 Sport Edition with continues on with the 1.5L i-GT 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine paired to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. Pumping out 181 PS & 290 Nm allowing the X50 to sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
The rest of the equipment list dittos the existing X50 Flagship with 14.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, 360-degree camera, powered tailgate, full suite of ADAS, panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting.
