Honda Malaysia has officially launched the 2026 Honda Prelude 2.0L e:HEV in Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show 2026 (KLIMS).
Priced from RM278,000 (OTR without insurance), it’s RM121k cheaper than the Honda Civic Type R FL5 that retails from RM399,900.
The Prelude is powered by the brands e:HEV hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine with an electric motor giving a combined system output of 203 PS and 315 Nm. 0 – 100 km/h is dispatched in 8.2 seconds onwards to a limited top speed of 188 km/h.
Fuel consumption of the Honda Prelude is rated at 4.2L/100 km.
In Japan, the most popular age group for the Prelude is between 50 – 60s
Historically, the Prelude was never meant to be a sports coupe. Instead it’s known to be a “dating car” for older folks to enjoy a smooth, refined driving experience with a hint of sportiness when the roads open up.
Being their flagship e:HEV, Honda has developed an S+ shift technology for Prelude. Upon activation, it mimics the shift pattern & sound of an 8-speed DCT. Injecting a sense of excitement to Prelude drivers.

The Honda Prelude will be displayed at KLIMS 2026 happening from 12 – 21 June 2026 at Malaysia International Trade Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Free entry for Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 10 am – 8 pm. For Friday, weekend & public holidays, tickets will be RM30 per adult/per entry. Free entry for children below the age of 12.
